From Porthmadog take the A487 towards Caernarfon. After about 4/5 miles you will see a sign on the left hand side saying Garndolbenmaen. Ignore the next right hand turn marked Cwn Penant and take the next right marked Garndolbenmaen. Go up this road for approximately ¾ mile and the road bears round to the left. Lavender Cottage is in the small terrace on the right hand side. If you go past a car park you have gone too far.
From the A55/Bangor take the A487 towards Porthmadog. Approximately 12 miles from Caernarfon you will pass a pub called The Goat. One mile further on there is a sign for Garndolbenmaen. Turn left at the next turning and drive ¾ mile up the road until it bears to the right. Lavender Cottage is about 300 yards further on the left hand side.
Do not worry if you miss the Garndolbenmaen signs from either direction because you can always use the next turning
